Garibaldi Lake is surrounded by a group of nine, small andesitic stratovolcanoes and basaltic-andesite cones. The lake was formed when lava flow from Mount Price and Clinker Peak volcanoes blocked the valley causing a natural dam around 9,000 years ago. Now known as “The Barrier”, the dam has continually trapped meltwater from Sentinel Glacier and Sphinx Glacier forming what we now call Garibaldi Lake. The lava dam is over 300m thick and about 2 km wide.

Alright, why should you add Anse Source d’Argent to your bucket list?! Here’s why:

🏖️ It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen, full stop. The giant rocks, the beautiful water… it’s just breathtaking.

🏖️ While it was the busiest actual destination we visited during our week in the Seychelles, it really wasn’t that bad! We found somewhere to spread out without being all up in someone else’s business. Just took a bit of a walk but hey, a walk on this beach is better than most walks I’d say. Honestly, I expected it to be much worse!

🏖️ You can go exploring on a clear kayak tour! That was so fun & so educational

🏖️ This is one of the most photographed beaches in the world because of its unique beauty. Idk about you but I want a piece of that!
